Dana Point – A Look Back

This photo shows the Quiet Cannon restaurant just after a landslide that closed Cove Road for years. It opened in 1970, later became Cannons Restaurant, and is now closed; the site will soon become a hotel.

The Dana Point Historical Society is located at 33282 Golden Lantern St., Suite 104, Dana Point. It is open Tuesdays from 1-3 p.m., Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. and Saturdays from 1-3 p.m. General admission is free on all days. Group tours are available by appointment.
